MY STORY
Behind the Words
I'm a product of what has happened to me. Happy childhood followed by a depressed teenage period capped off with a stint in a boarding school/mental hospital. After I was diagnosed with bipolar and I realised I couldn't follow my dreams of being a roboticist, I started writing.
Then came university. A double major in creative writing and performing arts, with a side of Shakespeare, greek magic, philosophy and fairy tales. But I need more. So I decided to complete a degree in film at the Australian Film Television and Radio School. I was also one of the recipients of the Westwords Varuna Fellowship in 2019 and the Westwords Emerging Writers Fellowship in 2019.
Four novels, a handful of scripts and short films later, I make what I can imagine.

ROOM NINE
Novel
After a tragic car crash resulting in her fiancé's death, a woman rebuilds her life from within her dreams while recovering in hospital.
REPHLEXA TRILOGY
Young Adult Trilogy
A young girl is pulled into the mirror realm of Rephlexa, a magic driven steampunk world on the brink of civil war.
LAST SUNRISE
Short Film - in pre-production
The last soldier in an epic war contemplates the risks of leaving her bunker and facing the monsters outside, just to see one last sunrise.
HARBOUR
Australian Science Fiction
3oo years in the future and Australian best and brightest are born in the Harbour, our last hope against the environmental collapse that is climate change. But behind closed doors, can ultimate power change who we are?
